hey guys!
i've been a busy bee lately and today i decided to take a lazy sunday holiday! it was nice.. i watched pride and prejudice , relaxed , and regrouped..

  So let's see , what's new...

    i've been working on art like a mad woman! i have several new pieces . a have a new original and a few new prints .. i also put all art prints & all my original pieces on sale til Dec. 24th!! i hope you find something you love!!

      i received a email a few days ago from a woman who runs a local christian arts school where i live and she said she had found my artwork on facebook and wondered if i'd be interested in being a guest teacher at their school!! exciting!
i'm waiting to hear more details! i'll keep you posted on how that goes.. God is a sneaky awesome God planting secret blessings with each brave move i make!!

     this weekend matt & i finally got some time to hang out ! he was on call and worked a 90 hour week! insane! so we went to Disney for the day on Saturday ! the boy loves himself some magic kingdom! it was great , we ran into my aunt and her family (all my cousins,uncle,and such) so we ran around the park with them alot of the day then had dinner together. it was so fun!!

     another super exciting thing! i was one of the 5 winners in the Pay it forward giveaway!!! i never win usually in giveaways! but i am one of the 5

   Well i'm sure there is more but i need to get to bed! i am trying to get my sleep pattern back to normal. i tend to get alittle night owl-ish when i'm painting alot but i need to get back to a regular schedule for my sanity !

So i just finished my 6th painting in the house series and this one was new ground .. i just played.. i didn't know where i was going with the colors or the style or even if it was to be a house painting at first .. i just created and played and used colors i never use and i ended up LOVING it!!! it reminds me alot of my older artwork .. Here's to playing!!!

listening to a podcast called Written Voices  ..
this particular one is a interview with Brene Brown , who i am digging so much lately! it's about Shame.. a subject i know alot! about because of my childhood,issues with my weight,issues with my anxiety disorder, and issues with just being human in general , right!! LOL!
       it's a great interview and so true!
but she just quoted something that speaks to the core of me..

"Compassion is knowing your darkness well enough to sit in the darkness with others."
- Buddhist nun

this quote is why God made me .. why i believe i was allowed to go thru the stuff i did as a kid,why i have gone thru this anxiety disorder..
           &           
   it's why i paint and love "words of hope" so much!!

my own darkness and rising from it
has given me the gift of wanting to
let other's still in darkness know that there is more
then just darkness to come..
there is light and hope and new beginnings ..
and there may be more darkness but there is even more light ..

the darkness won't last always..

God is known to make wacky blessings out of our sorrows and misfortune ..
this quote
speaks so loudly to what amazing blessings come to the aid of others out of our darkness..

I love home .. i love that home isn't always so much a house but people who love you .. i love the smells of home.. i love small homes,cozy colorful homes, homes that smell like cinnamon,champa,and lemon... i love hugs that feel like home from old dear friends. i love blankets and warm socks that snuggle you like home... i love worn in chairs and tv shows,old movies, and good books that make you say "ahhhh .. i'm home" ... i love God who is a home for me no matter where i am in the world or in life... i love that home is a state of mind and that every home with love inside is a light house ...
